Bart Stupak (born October 18, 1950) is an American politician, attorney, and former Congressman who served as a Democrat from Michigan's 1st congressional district for nine terms, from January 3, 1993, to January 3, 2011. Born in Menominee, Michigan, Stupak attended Northern Michigan University before earning his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.
